About Dreams Come True of JacksonvilleDreams Come True is the only locally-based organization bringing hope and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions who live in or are treated in the seven counties of Northeast Florida through the power of a dream fulfilled. We have fulfilled more than 5,000 in the 40 years since we were founded by the McGehee family in 1984. There are currently about 600 children dreaming and we receive about 25 new qualified referrals every month. No qualified child has ever been turned down for a dream or been put on a waiting list thanks to the extreme generosity of donors in our community.
