About Micah’s Backpack, JacksonvilleMicah's Backpack, Jacksonville is an all-volunteer organization that provides weekend food to food-insecure children from low and middle-income families. The goal of Micah's Backpack is to eliminate the weekend hunger gap that many children experience, allowing them to play on the weekend, not worry about where their next meal will come from, and be prepared to start school on Monday ready to learn.
What differentiates you from the competition?Micah's Backpack, Jacksonville is an all-volunteer organization with no overhead. There are no paid employees, and all the food distributed comes from community donations.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Everything Micah's Backpack, Jacksonville does and provides to our community is the result of volunteer support and donations. The Board of Directors and the Volunteers are 100% behind supporting at risk children in our community.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?One out of every 5 children in America is food insecure or chronically hungry. Micah's Backpack is working to eliminate the weekend hunger-gap.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?The biggest marketing challenge facing Micah's this year is the transition from a faith-based organization to a 501(c)3
