Short company description:
We provide keynote speaking, workshops and advisory services that help organizations strengthen leadership, build trust and improve communication. Founded by Dr. Abbie Maroño, a PhD behavioral scientist and USA Today bestselling author, the company translates research into practical skills in nonverbal communication, influence and responding effectively under pressure. It also offers expert witness services focused on investigative interviewing, false confessions and behavioral analysis.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?
Every conversation shapes whether people trust you, listen to you and work with you. Understanding human behavior helps you approach those moments with greater clarity and confidence. I give your people practical, scientifically grounded skills to communicate effectively, navigate difficult conversations and lead under pressure.
What differentiates you from the competition?
Dr. Abbie Enterprises combines scientific expertise with practical experience training 29 U.S. federal agencies and INTERPOL leadership. As a PhD behavioral scientist, bestselling author and former professor, I translate research on trust, influence and nonverbal communication into skills people can use. My approach goes beyond motivational speaking: it helps people understand behavior, respond effectively under pressure and build stronger professional relationships.
How has your business changed in the past 12 months?
Over the past 12 months, I have become more focused on false confessions, investigative interviewing, and expert witness services, alongside my existing work in trust, cooperation, influence, and nonverbal communication. I am increasingly applying my expertise in legal cases involving interview practices, behavioral evidence, credibility, and the risk of coerced or false confessions.
Describe a Failure in your Career
One of my biggest mistakes earlier in my career was saying yes to too many opportunities because I felt I had to constantly prove myself. It meant I sometimes spread myself too thin and invested time in work that was not aligned with where I wanted to go. Learning to be more selective has helped me become much more intentional about the work I take on and where I can have the greatest impact.
What about your company makes you the most proud
I am most proud that I take complex behavioral science and make it practical. Whether I am teaching someone how to build trust and cooperation, helping professionals read behavior more accurately, or working on a legal case involving false confessions or behavioral evidence, my focus is on giving people information they can actually use to make better decisions.
How do you motivate people to give their best?
I focus on creating the conditions that make people want to give their best. That starts with trust, understanding what motivates the individual, giving people ownership, and making expectations clear. My work has taught me that people are far more willing to engage and perform when they feel respected, understood, and involved rather than simply being told what to do.
